Facilities

We have an extensive range of facilities available to our students, which have been modernised and brought up-to-date with the latest technologies and comforts.

Offered across both main campuses - Moulsham Street and Princes Road - there is a Refectory, Internet Cafe, Learning Centre, Assessment Centre and Tutorial Centre, with a Copyshop, Sports Centre, Skills Development Centre and Hub at Moulsham Street.

Everyone is given access to the College Intranet and has an email account allocated to them to keep up-to-date with everything that is happening within Chelmsford College Group.

Assessment Centres

The new purpose built Assessment Centres at Moulsham Street and Princes Road campuses have created the ideal opportunity to work in a comfortable environment and complete those pressing assignments and tasks.

The new purpose built areas support students and are intended to allow easy access to resources including the Learning Centres, PCs and support from helpful and knowledgeable staff, all in a relaxed yet productive environment.

Assessment Centre timetables are full, responding to the growing expectation raised by students of more pcs and time to process their assignments.

This allows the students time to work independently, providing a unique opportunity to make progress towards targets and ultimately reach their full potential.

Cashless Vending

In addition to purchasing food and drink with cash, you can also use your College Membership Card. This is a smart card that replaces cash and will be issued to you when you enrol on a course

The card holds a 'purse' of money that can be used in the refectories. You put value on the card by using a machine, sited near the refectories, or through an online webloader.

If problems arise with your card please contact the IT Helpdesk. If the problem relates to value not appearing on the card, then you should report this to the Finance Office (with forms available at Reception).

PLEASE NOTE: The webloader is currently unavailable.

The College email system is a widely used method of communication for students and staff. Students will be issued with their log-in ID on enrolment, which gives them automatic access to their email account.
