You’re in good company. Around 55,000 16 to 18 year olds undertake an apprenticeship through their local college every year and 9 out of 10 employers tell us apprenticeships deliver.
You’ll get valuable training, experience and nationally-recognised qualifications tailored around the needs of your company so you can gain essential skills to do your job.
You’ll be an employee and earn a wage.
You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to receive the latest industry standards, delivered in your workplace and on a day-release basis or through one-to-one sessions with your work based tutor.
You’ll also received training in English, Maths and ICT as part of your apprenticeship if required.
Taking a level 2 apprenticeship now can mean the difference to you financially of between £48,000 - £74,000 over the course of your working life.
Your apprenticeship could last anywhere between one to four years, depending on the level of apprenticeship, your ability and your industry sector.
Apprenticeships are offered at three levels:
- Intermediate Level = Level 2
- Advanced Level = Level 3
- Higher Level = Level 4/5
If you don’t already have a job already, we’ll help match you with an employer to ensure that your role provides the training you want. If you are already in employment, then we will work with your employer to ensure that you are getting what you need out of your training.
As part of being an apprentice with Chelmsford College you’ll immediately gain access to all the resources at the College, including student support; help with your CV and preparing for interviews, careers and progression advice.
