Apprenticeships | I’m an employer

We work with around 300 employers and have 20 leading apprenticeship programmes available in a variety of sectors.

There’s never been a better time to hire an apprentice.

The Government is extending the time period so you can claim £3,000 per new 16 - 18 year old apprentice hired, £2,000 for 19 - 24 year old apprentices or £1,500 if you hire apprentices aged over 25. You now have until January 2022 to qualify for these incentives.

We recruit each apprentice with care and can even help you complete all the necessary paperwork.

If you want to grow your business with new staff, invest in and champion the raw talent and ambition of your current people or explore opportunities for your workforce to gain new skills - we can help.

If you’d like to navigate the Levy minefield, want to stake your claim to Levy funding by identifying strategic partners for transfer sponsorship or double-check you’ve accessed the right funding you’re entitled to, our dedicated team can guide you through eligibility checks and help you with funding routes. We can also create cohorts on your behalf.

We offer one point of contact for all communication so you don’t get lost in the system; face-to-face meetings to assess your company’s apprenticeship needs and a free recruitment service, so you get the right person for the job.

Apprentices are a valuable addition to your company.

Skills shortages are a big threat to UK employers and apprenticeship programmes help you recruit the right people to grow your business and complement your team. Seventy-five percent of employers surveyed in 2016 said apprenticeships improved the quality of their product or service.

Chelmsford College is also a verified Hub for endpoint assessments in Essex. This means your apprentices won’t be expected to travel (at your cost) outside of Essex in order to complete their apprenticeship.

Your apprentices will receive training to the latest industry standards, delivered in your workplace and on a day-release basis or through one-to-one sessions with a dedicated work based tutor. They’ll gain valuable training, experience and nationally-recognised qualifications tailored around the needs of your company so they can gain essential skills to do their job.
