As the college winds down for Christmas, the Business, Law and Travel & Tourism department have put together three special events to celebrate the success of their learners and congratulate them on all their work this term.
Held across three days, each event began with a warm welcome from Julia Holden followed by the certificate presentations from Mary McGettigan for Business and Rebecca Tovey for Travel and Tourism. These certificates were for learners who had gone out of their way this term, ranging from perfect attendance to consistency with effort to highest academic achievement and many others in between. The learners were not just recognised for their hard work in their subjects, but also for other areas of their programme like maths and English as well as work experience – with students in Travel and Tourism winning medals for their hard work at the World Travel Market. Many learners were even recognised for the way they approach the day, offering support to their peers and generally having a good attitude around the college.
Although not everyone received certificates, all the learners have worked very hard this term and should be proud of their efforts – and there’s always next term so keep pushing yourselves! Congratulations and enjoy your well-deserved break.
