The National Extended Diploma is a 2 year, full time course ideal for anyone who wants to progress to higher education courses in business areas before entering employment. It can also support learners who want to progress directly to employment. The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is equivalent to 3 A Levels.

The course requires students to set up and run their own business. Assessment will be through both practical and written tasks. An office area will be provided for students and business dress is to be worn.

There are 8 mandatory units, 4 internal and 4 external. Learners must complete and achieve at Pass grade or above for all these units in group A and at least two from group B.

Maths and English - Take it Seriously!
At Chelmsford College we are dedicated to helping all our learners achieve their ambitions and we acknowledge that in order to do well, some of our learners may need extra support in maths and/or English.
We provide specialist teaching as a compulsory part of the study programme for all learners who have not achieved a grade C at GCSE in these subjects and we all take maths and English seriously.
